I graduated with a First-Class Honours degree in Counselling and Therapeutic Practice from the University of South Wales.
I have volunteered as a counsellor at Mind Monmouthshire and currently practice both in-person and online as a private practitioner. Additionally, I work for the Basecamp Cooperative, a low-cost counselling agency in Chepstow, Wales.
Prior to becoming a counsellor, I worked as a care assistant in a residential home for the elderly during the Covid-19 pandemic. Before that, I spent 15 years running my own floristry business in London. My personal life journey and meditation practice significantly influence my work as a therapist. My upbringing and education were interrupted by the sudden death of my parents, and I have lived independently since I was 17 years old. In my early 20s, I left my home country and moved to London, where I built a successful career as a florist for 15 years. However, the busy city life led to mental health difficulties; I felt depressed, confused and stuck without purpose. I overcame these challenges with the help of counselling, yoga, and meditation. I began practicing Vipassana meditation, a mindfulness-based technique rooted in Buddhist tradition. Eventually, I left London in search of a more meaningful way of living and spent several years traveling while working seasonally as a florist in London and on an organic dairy farm in Switzerland. During this time, I stayed for extended periods at meditation centres, engaging in silent retreats that lasted between 10 to 20 days. I also helped to organise and run retreats for others. I established in this way my daily practice of meditation. This transformative period of my life ultimately led me to settle in rural Herefordshire and pursue my counselling training. My work and life experience and the practice of meditation have helped me develop the ability to understand and accept all human experiences without passing judgment. I have learned that suffering caused by change, loss and confusion is an inevitable part of every human life. I am deeply inspired by people's willingness to confront their most painful experiences and work to improve their quality of life. This motivation drives my work as a counsellor and psychotherapist. I am committed to dedicating all my professional skills, knowledge, and personal qualities to support you on this journey.
